It depends on your interests. Summer offers longer days, milder weather, hiking, wildlife and the midnight sun. Winter brings opportunities for northern lights, ice caves and snowy landscapes. Both seasons offer a different experience.

How far ahead should I book?

We recommend booking once your travel dates are set. Accommodation, licensed driver-guides and activity places can be limited; booking early gives you more choice.

How are the vehicles kept clean?

Vehicles are deep-cleaned and disinfected before a tour, with a lighter clean after each day. Please help keep them comfortable for everyone.

Smoking, including vaping, is prohibited. Drinking alcohol and travelling while intoxicated are not allowed. A driver may refuse to continue if behaviour is abusive, dangerous or disruptive.

How do I apply for an Icelandic visa?

Iceland is in the Schengen Area. Check requirements for your passport and place of residence before travelling. Short-stay Schengen visas cover visits of up to 90 days, subject to the applicable rules.

Find your application location through VFS Global and the relevant official guidance: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/

Can I visit with a visa issued by another Schengen country?

Schengen visas generally apply across the Schengen Area, including Iceland, subject to the visa’s conditions. Apply through the country that is your main destination: normally the one where you will spend the most time, or the first visited if stays are equal. Do not apply through a country that does not reflect your actual itinerary.

How long does a visa application take?

Processing time varies with the application and current workload. Apply well in advance and consult the current guidance from the relevant application centre.
