Travel and safety reminders

Iceland’s weather changes quickly. Adjust your clothing to current conditions and bring warm, non-slip footwear, an insulated jacket or windproof coat, and long trousers.

Useful warm layers include thermal underwear, a sweater, a down jacket, scarf, gloves and a hat.

Participants should be in suitable physical condition. Some trips involve walking or activities on ice; choose according to your abilities.

For longer journeys, carry a few portable snacks.

Look after your belongings, especially valuables such as your wallet, camera and passport.

Arrive at the meeting point on time so that the group can depart as planned.

Weather, public holidays, strikes, safety concerns and other events beyond our control may require itinerary changes. Follow the instructions of the team.

Respect local environmental rules and help protect Iceland’s natural surroundings.

Children cannot book alone and must be accompanied by at least one adult.
